Violet Aveline McNamara was born on July 30th, 2009 at 11:09 pm.  She was 7 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches long.  It was an amazing birth.  Kevin and I are very grateful for Dr. Martin and the nurses at Trident.  Both labor and the actual birth were completely different experiences than my first child, Duncan.  Dr. Martin was instrumental in making the hospital environment relaxed and did everything he could to make the experience one that I had been working toward for months.  His expertise, kindness, and patience combined with the Hypnobabies (www.hypnobabies.com) program that I studied in preparation for birth provided an almost painless experience without an epidural or pain medication.  Again, Violet, Kevin and I cannot thank Dr. Martin enough for our experience!

Rachael McNamara

Chloe Ava Snodgrass was born on July 20, 2009.  She is already growing so fast!

 Mommy Jill said, “Garrett LOVES the great outdoors! He’s at his happiest when he’s outside enjoying the weather! He also loves to cruise around the house in his Jeep walker!”  This little man is definitely a charmer!

Shylo Ari Bryant was born on May 7, 2009 at 8.5 lbs and 20 3/4 inches long. Shylo loves being at home and cuddling with his mom and dad!

Elizabeth was born on March 26, 2009 at 5:10pm.   She weighed 6lbs 10oz and was 20in long.  Right now her favorite food is squash.  She really likes being outside and loves playing with her toys!

Samson Zakai Saroyan was born on February 24, 2009.  Samson’s mom is one of our Charleston Birth Place patients.  Dr. Martin, along with Dr. Christine Case, helps as a backing physician for The Charleston Birth Place.  In case of complications and an operative delivery is necessary, Dr. Martin steps in for the delivery.

Braylen was born on February 23, 2009 at 2:35pm.  He weighed 7lbs 12.8oz and was 20 inches long.  He is now starting to eat grown-up food.  His  mommy, Tara, says his favorite food is applesauce!  He absolutely loves it!

Alivia Torrance McQueary was born February 13, 2009 at 4:15 pm.  She was 6lbs 8oz and 20in long.  Her big brother Adam, 6 years old, is so excited about her arrival.  The picture below is Adam meeting Alivia for the first time!  How exciting for him!

Tyler Ayden Johnson was born on January 26, 2009 at 8:40pm.  He weighed 7lbs 1oz and was 21 inches long.  Right now his favorite food is bananas and he is already getting some teeth!  He loves being outside and his parents tell us they have been blessed with a very good baby!  Tyler is already a big hit with the ladies because he already knows how to bat his eyes to make you melt!

Clara Fredlake was born on January 6, 2009 around 3:15pm.  She was 7lbs and 10oz and was 20 inches long.  As you can see she loves being outside!

McKenzie Kris Futch was born on November 25, 2008 at 3:04pm.  She weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 20 inches long.  As you can see from her picture with Dr. Martin, she loves to sing!  Her favorite food right now is oatmeal and bananas. 

Liam was born on November 17, 2008 at 1:12pm.  He weighed 7lbs 1oz and was 19 inches long.  Melissa, Liam’s mommy, says his favorite food is sweet potatoes.  Liam also loves playing with his great dane Lola!  He has his own personal pony!

Sarah Alyssa Carden was born on November 11, 2008.  She weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20in long.  At the top left she is pictured with her mom, Christina, and her big brother Stanley.  At the bottom right, Sarah is pictured with her cousin, Katelyn, who Dr. Martin also delivered!

We are pleased to introduce Sophia Wren Wadford.  Born November 11, 2008 at 7:24 pm to parents Sarah and Ryan, and big sister Makayla.  Sophie weighed 9lbs and was 20 3/4 inches long. 

Kamryn Reese Wickersham was born on November 4, 2008.  She already loves to play outside and swing with her mommy, Corinne!  She likes to dress up too!

Have you had your routine screening mammogram this year?

If you are 35 or older and have never had a mammogram, it is time for your baseline screening. 

Once you are 40 or older, it is very important that you have a routine screening every year.

Marionna Janee Newton was born on October 5, 2008.  Here she is pictured at two months weighing 12lbs 4oz and she is 22in long.  Below she is with her mother, Marcella.  She definitely is “mommy’s little princess!”

Riley Thomas Galmarini flew into this world on September 24, 2008 at 8lbs 10oz and 20 inches long!  He definitely is Captain Adorable!
