Cooper Derek Johnson 8lb, 5oz @ 20Inches long!!!                                    

Little Miss Ava Michelle Simmons was born on May 10th and weighed 7lbs 10oz.  She’s such a sweet girl!

Esther Giannelli was born on January 28, 2010.  She weighed 8lbs 9oz (doesn’t look it!).  Her new family is now complete with four girls and four boys.  All of her brother and sisters are so excited to have this new addition to their family.  One thing mommy doesn’t have to worry about is the lack of babysitters!  She is definitely going to be spoiled!

This is little Samuel Gadson.  He was born on September 12, 2009 weighing 10lbs 7oz (wow!).  Wouldn’t he just be the best Christmas present to get on Christmas morning?!

Samuel Theodore Smyth was born on December 7, 2009 at 11:18pm to Michelle and Tyler.  He weighed 6lbs 14 oz and was 19.5in long.  When Samuel was born mommy said, “10 fingers, 10 toes, and a full head of hair!!”  Michelle has been a patient of Dr. Martin’s since she was sixteen years old!  We are so excited to continue to care for Michelle and Samuel!

This sweet little boy was born on November 10, 2009 at 7:26pm.  He weighed 8lbs 10oz and was 21.3in long.  His mom and dad said that at only 11 days old he rolled over from his stomach to his back!  He also gained all of his weight back only a week after he was born.  He is already growing fast!

Gabby Staropoli was born on November 3, 2009.  She weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 18.5in long.  Her mom and dad are so excited about her arrival!  Dr. Martin was apparently excited as well!

Sadie Elizabeth Baxley was born on October 28, 2009 at 4:37pm to David and Tonya Baxley.  She weighed 6lbs 15oz and was 18.5 inches long.  From dad, David, “Here are some photos of our bundle of joy! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my beloved and our daughter Sadie Elizabeth!”  We had fun taking care of them!

This is Miss Tandy Rayne Nelson.  She was born on September 16, 2009.  She is already a little princess!  She takes after her mommy!

Gavin Wilson is already a year old!  He is growing so fast!  His mom tells me he is now running around all over the place. 

Grantham Thomas Martin was born on August 7, 2009 at 5:29 PM.  He weighed 7lbs 15oz and was 20.5 inches long.  He is Dr. Martin’s first grandchild!  We are all very excited for Dr. Martin and his family.

Violet Aveline McNamara was born on July 30th, 2009 at 11:09 pm.  She was 7 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches long.  It was an amazing birth.  Kevin and I are very grateful for Dr. Martin and the nurses at Trident.  Both labor and the actual birth were completely different experiences than my first child, Duncan.  Dr. Martin was instrumental in making the hospital environment relaxed and did everything he could to make the experience one that I had been working toward for months.  His expertise, kindness, and patience combined with the Hypnobabies (www.hypnobabies.com) program that I studied in preparation for birth provided an almost painless experience without an epidural or pain medication.  Again, Violet, Kevin and I cannot thank Dr. Martin enough for our experience!

Rachael McNamara

Chloe Ava Snodgrass was born on July 20, 2009.  She is already growing so fast!

 Mommy Jill said, “Garrett LOVES the great outdoors! He’s at his happiest when he’s outside enjoying the weather! He also loves to cruise around the house in his Jeep walker!”  This little man is definitely a charmer!

Shylo Ari Bryant was born on May 7, 2009 at 8.5 lbs and 20 3/4 inches long. Shylo loves being at home and cuddling with his mom and dad!

Elizabeth was born on March 26, 2009 at 5:10pm.   She weighed 6lbs 10oz and was 20in long.  Right now her favorite food is squash.  She really likes being outside and loves playing with her toys!

Samson Zakai Saroyan was born on February 24, 2009.  Samson’s mom is one of our Charleston Birth Place patients.  Dr. Martin, along with Dr. Christine Case, helps as a backing physician for The Charleston Birth Place.  In case of complications and an operative delivery is necessary, Dr. Martin steps in for the delivery.
